  • Man woman found dead with gunshot wounds on Chicago Skyway

The deaths about 4:10 a.m. were believed to be a suicide and a homicide, police said in a media notification.

The Chicago Tribune reports (http://trib.in/2sApXKA ) Lisa Fisher of Broadview and Christopher M. Pena of Chicago were arguing as they traveled on the Chicago Skyway around 4:15 a.m. Wednesday.

The vehicle, a maroon sedan, appeared to have crashed into the median separating the eastbound and westbound lanes of the Skyway, CBS Chicago reports. The woman was found with several gunshot wounds and the man was found with a gunshot wound to the head.

Authorities say a 30-year-old man fatally shot a 49-year-old woman on a major Chicago expressway before shooting and killing himself.

Terrorists attack police party in J&K's Anantnag, 6 personnel martyred
Before fleeing, the militants are believed to have disfigured the bodies of the cops by firing on them from close range. Junaid and two other terrorists were trapped in a building in Anantnag's Arwani on Friday and killed in an encounter.

The vehicle traveled a short distance before it crashed. The man and the woman were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Pena then got out of his auto while it was still running to chase after Fischer, firing several gunshots at her, police said. She is expected to be OK.

The shooting took place at 88th and the Skyway going eastbound.

Police and Illinois Department of Transportation crews worked to keep as much traffic away from the scene as possible. "I was surprised to hear about it. Normally, you hear of incidents, but you don't really hear about somebody being killed on the expressway", said Derek Bobo, a Skyway driver.
