'Nothing has changed' between Donald Trump and Rex Tillerson: White House

  • White House: Not the time for gun law debate

I'm wondering if there's any concern in the White House that the president's frequent use of the term "fake news" to describe mainstream outlets muddies the water a little bit and makes it harder for citizens to identify the actual fake news that the intelligence agencies have said countries like Russian Federation used to interfere in the last election.

In the interim, financial markets have been jolted by Trump, and not for the first time, writes Newsday's Dan Janison.

"Is the president upset that his secretary of state didn't deny calling him a moron in his public remarks yesterday?"

Trump tweeted earlier in the day that the Senate Intelligence Committee, which is continuing to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 election, should instead focus its efforts on "looking into the Fake News Networks in OUR country". And Sanders knows this, but she has a job to do.

She added, "I think you can take the president protecting the American people always extremely serious".

4th United States service member killed in Niger ambush
And while United States troops largely play a supporting role in Niger, military leaders acknowledge the risks they face. Another soldier from a "partner nation" had also died in the attack, it said - without specifying their nationality.

US President Donald Trump has "tremendous accomplishments on the global stage" and he is "keeping the world from chaos", the White House has claimed.

On Thursday evening, reporters were led hastily to the State Dining Room, where they walked into a scene of the president, his highest-ranking military advisers and their wives posing for a group photo.

Just days after the "Access Hollywood" tape was released, Sanders was interviewed by MSNBC's Craig Melvin, and after several minutes of happily flacking for Trump, was asked to explain how she could possibly represent such a reprehensible figure.

Trump, who earlier said Iran had "not lived up to the spirit" of the nuclear deal, was expected to "decertify" and denounce the controversial accord as not being in the USA national interest, passing the issue to Congress. After Trump's Puerto Rico visit, she wore a T-shirt that read "Nasty" - a word Trump has used to describe her. "The president can't undercut his own Cabinet", Sanders replied. It shows more positive measures in such categories as functioning hospitals, open airports and post offices, and the number of federal employees deployed.
