"We will find the person responsible for this ridiculous, absurd, unnecessary loss of life", said Police Commissioner Kevin Davis.
"We remain dedicated and committed to finding the person who ended such a handsome life, such a wonderful detective, husband, father and friend", the police commissioner said. Gov. Larry Hogan committed the state would pay a $100,000 reward. Police said he was "conscious and breathing" when he came to the hospital. "Sixty-nine thousand dollars is the reward that is being offered to anyone with information that can help us solve this case". "There's evidence that's available to us right now that suggests that the suspect may have been wounded and we're very interested in knowing if anyone, family, friends, we're obviously searching emergency rooms and doctor's offices, anyone who has an unexplained injury, we want those folks to pick up the phone as well and describe that to us". "Rest assured, however, that this has not broken our collective spirit and we will continue to do the work that Sean loved, and do it with the same integrity and commitment that he exemplified".
Baltimore Police will be wearing black bands across their badges to honor Detective Suiter. Rest in Peace, Brother.
