The incident allegedly occurred in 1991.

Ratner allegedly ignored Khalighi, and she alleged that Simmons then forced her to have oral sex with him.

I looked over at Brett and said "help me" and I'll never forget the look on his face. More than anything, I want my daughters to live in a more equal world and a world where they will not become victims of sexual harassment.

Khalighi said she succumbed to performing the oral sex after she fought him "wildly" after he tried to force her into having penetrative sex with him.

Russell Simmons is facing new, disturbing allegations of sexual misconduct, after a woman has come forward accusing the famous entrepreneur of sexually assaulting her when she was just 17 years old, while film producer Brett Ratner-with whom Simmons is very close-watched and did nothing.

Khalighi the experience was "disgusting" and she went to take a shower - where Simmons allegedly followed her and penetrated her. At that point, the model alleged that Simmons entered the shower, while forcefully fingering the model. She said after jerking away from him, he left her alone.

Al Franken apologizes after radio host accuses him of kissing, groping her
Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell and Democratic leader Chuck Schumer agreed the Ethics Committee should investigate. Franken first issued an apology to Tweeden, in which he said that the photo "was clearly meant to be amusing but wasn't".

Khalighi did not pursue any legal remedies or report the incident to police.

It was revealed on November 10 that in 2001, Ratner and Simmons were investigated for sexual battery after a woman filed a report.

This story originally appeared in the NY Post and is republished here with permission. That may have been created to garner more attention in the wake of the Los Angeles Times accusation.

Less than 24 hours after the most recent report published, Russell Simmons released a statement.

On attempted rape charge, Simmons stated that the charges are flatly untrue. "Everything that occurred between Keri and me occurred with her full consent and participation", he responded to the claims.

"We spent time in my apartment over a period of two days and one night, as well as at some public places including Nell's Nightclub", Simmons wrote "Much of the time we were in the presence of other acquaintances". Through his attorney, Ratner claimed to the Times that he had "no recollection" of Khalighi protesting or seeking help. Texts sent by Simmons followed and were documented by the paper-including "I'm really in very scary space if u have time", suggesting that the two speak further. The women accusing him say that Ratner had a habit of surrounding himself with powerful men like Simmons and filmmaker James Toback, Roman Polanski and Robert Evans who have all been accused of preying on women. "So I'm coming out because what I've experienced privately is not matching what they are saying publicly and hypocrisy to me is repugnant and it's time for the truth to come out".
