The United Kingdom was number three in the list with 6,845 user data requests and asking for access to 8,167 user accounts.

The US led requests by a considerable margin, responsible for 41 per cent of all information requests made to Facebook during the period. USA requests have climbed steeply since Facebook's first report covering January to June 2013, when it received just 12,000 requests involving 21,000 accounts. Surprisingly, Pakistan's request for restricting targeted Facebook Content increased in the first half of the year 2017, according to the report of Pakistan's request for data by Facebook. In any case, a lot of that figure can be followed back to a deplorable shooting at a school in Mexico, which brought about Facebook confining access to 20,506 bits of substance. Facebook says majority of the content was in violation of local laws of defamation and content violating religion and hate speech laws. Around 54% of these requests had some data produced. At a global level, requests increased by 21 percent from the second half of 2016. The Transparency Report, which covers H1 2017, reveals that requests increased 33 per cent year-on-year and 21 per cent half-on-half, hitting 78,890.

Compared to the first half of 2016, where the number of requests stood at 6,324, this is almost a 55 per cent jump for 2017.

In an initial tweet, the Tussey Mountain resort wrote: "Having difficulties with the chairlift. we are working on it now". Ropes were used to evacuate those trapped and those hurt received medical attention for minor injuries, 6 News reports.

The report also points out the internet disruption of Pakistan which occurred only once in the first half of 2017, which affected Facebook products and services in Pakistan. On Instagram, the company removed 10,094 posts following 10,231 counterfeit claims. Some 70,000 solicitations for copyright came to Instagram, with 685,000 bits of substance evacuated.

Facebook has also introduced more accountability on IP-related content requests - over 200,000 copyright requests were submitted related to Facebook content over the period, with 68 percent actioned on and 1.8 million pieces of content taken down.

Fake cases against Instagram content rose relentlessly in the primary portion of 2017, with June's grievance number (2,191 reports) higher than the quantity of protestations petitioned for Facebook in April and near different months. Facebook suggested these shutdowns can create barriers for businesses and prevent people from sharing and communicating with their family and friends.
