August is the month for Sony to release many more details about PlayStation 5 – or so the internet believed. That’s right, we’re getting back to that point where despair is coming. Sony has been silent on the topic of the next gen genre by unveiling its next console in June, and of course this means that every cancer on the web is telling people that the news will go on 30 next day or so.
The bottom line is that no one can pinpoint an exact date because no one actually knows what Sony’s plans are – so much so based on previous events. Obviously we’re due to Game State at some point soon ̵1; the Japanese giant still has a long way to go – but right now, your cognition is as good as ours.
Still, the rumors are definitely starting to last. On the latest Kinda Funny Gamescast, Imran Khan says he “sky” both Sony and Microsoft “should” talk about “pricing and availability” in August. In addition, Jeff Grubb is back on Twitter with an updated schedule of events, suggesting that Sony’s next show will be held August 5-11.
He starts to feel like something has to take place in August, but as always, we advise against placing bets until Sony makes a move. While we understand that waiting for the PS5 key information can be a bit frustrating, it will eventually happen, and we’ll be around to cover any breaking news here on Push Square.
