Ariana Grande & Lady Gaga Lead the 2020 VVV VMA Nominations: View Full List



MTV has announced nominations for the 2020 Music Awards on Thursday (July 30). Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga lead with nine nominations each – including co-nomination for this year’s video for “Rain on Me” – followed by Billie Eilish and The Weeknd with six each.

There are two new (timely) categories this year: the best music video from home and the best quarantine performance.

As of today, fans can vote in about 15 categories including video of the year, artist of the year, best quarantine performance and more at this link until August 23. Voting for the best PUSH category of the new artist will remain active in the show in August. 30.

The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards 2020 will air Sunday, August 30 at 8:00 pm ET, live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
