Demi Lovato appeared during the 2020 GLAAD Media Awards in a live broadcast on Thursday (July 30) to offer some heartfelt words of support to the LGBTQ community – trans youth, in particular. “I specifically want to remind trans youth. You know things are going crazy hard now, and maybe you won’t have your usual support system around you … but leave it to anyone, especially our government, fool in thought. you are nothing less than perfect and intended to be, “Lovato said. “Be proud of who you are, keep your voice loud and clear, and know that we are out here fighting for you.”
Noting the “outrageous discrimination” faced by people of trans color in America, Lovato introduced one of the harshest voices of that community ̵1; Shea Diamond. The stunner singer and her socially moving band walked away with the celebrity anthem “I Am America,” which is the theme song for HBO’s We Are Here and one of our favorite LGBTQ songs of the year.
