Google has opened up a couple of security tools to protect the financial information and passwords you have saved with Chrome’s automatic feature. One will allow you to verify your identity using biometric information, such as your fingerprints, whenever you want to use your credit card online.
Currently, auto-completion requires you to type the CVC of your card each time you use it. But if you choose to turn on biometric authentication – it’s completely optional and can be found on Chrome’s settings page ̵1; you just have to type in your CVC the first time you use a card. This can help prevent card loss or theft, as you do not need to take your CC anymore in case you are in public. You can already count on the feature to retrieve your card details on Chrome for Windows and Mac, and it’s coming to Android in the coming weeks.
