Jessica Simpson opened for the first time about the child sexual abuse she went through, at the hands of a family friend, in her Open Book memoir, which came out earlier this year.
And the 40-year-old star revealed even more about her experience on Katherine Schwarzenegger’s podcast The Gift of Forgiveness on Wednesday.
In the episode Simpson talked about how she confronted her abuser eight years ago and offered forgiveness.

At the meeting she recounted that she said: “I just want you to know that I forgive you and don’t really care to be around you again, but I want you to know that I know what happened between us and me. I will not live in denial about dan. ‘
She also expressed sympathy for the abuse she was receiving from the abuser from an older child.
“I went to her and just said,‘ ‘you know what was going on and I know you were abused,’ ”because she was being abused by an older man,” Simpson explained.
The older boy’s addition: ‘He was always there at home too, so he never touched me, but he was abusing her and she would come up to me and do things for me and so on, like in so many ways that I felt bad for her and I was letting the abuse happen. ‘
Not from denial: From the meeting she recounted that she said: “I just want you to know that I forgive you and don’t really care to be around you much more again, but I want you to know that I know what happened Between us and I won’t I live in denial about it ”(February 2020 picture)
She even suggested to the woman to heal and forgive for the experiences between them.
“I told her at the moment,‘ I know you have a lot to do with them, ’” she said.
I add: “And I told her she should probably talk to someone and find a way to understand those moments and forgive those moments and to heal from those moments.”
Back in February, she opened up on Coach Mike Podcast about her life from sobriety and the powerful reason that led her to expose her painful sexual abuse in the past.
In an exclusive DailyMail.com clip, Jessica explained that it was her role as a parent that helped her talk about the abuse and write about it in the book.

She told her parents, Tina and Joe Simpson, six years after the abuse began. The mother of three recalls that she was in the car with her parents during a trip when she told them about what happened to her.
She remembers her mother grabbing her father’s arm and saying, ‘I told you something was going on.’
“Dad kept his eyes on the street and said nothing,” she said. “We never stayed at my parents’ friend’s house ”but also didn’t talk about what he had said. ”
