On Friday (July 31), Lil Wayne joined his Money Money buddies Gudda Gudda and Jay Jones for the collective’s newest video “Thug Life.”
Filmed at Wayne’s skate park, Weezy is in pure form, delivering high-octane raps at a frantic pace. “I want my baby pictures on the $ 100 bill / my lazy dog teaches the crazy mad-hes how cool it can be,” he continues. With his styrofoam cup in hand, he later speeds up his flow on the hypnotic beat, before Jay Jones comes in with his own poem. Soon after, the heartbeat beats and Gudda Gudda and Wayne start trading the bars on the landscape of bad sounds.
Two weeks ago, Wayne wrapped up his first season of Young Money Radio in an interview with Birdman. The two talked about possibly making a sequel to their 2006 collaborative album Like a Father Loves a Son. “I want it to be the thing of my greeting,” Birdman told Wayne during their chat. Their first effort was met with commercial success and hits such as “Stuntin ̵6;Like My Daddy” and “Skin So Soft.”
Following the conclusion of Wayne’s Young Money Radio show – which previously featured interviews with Drake, 50 Cent, Migos, Nicki Minaj and more – Weezy greeted his fans for arranging.
“Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for making this biggest debut in the first season of any podcast or radio program NEVER,” Wayne wrote gratefully on Instagram.
