Unfortunately, I feel like I’m reaching the end of my time Mario Card: The King of Origami. I took it all in stride – well, almost everything– But my favorite part has to be the simple act of throwing the confetti around them.
The Mushroom Kingdom is a total mess from the time you re-explore it thanks to an invasion of awful golems and origami. These folded jerks waste no time to decide the game beautiful landscapes with holes and, of course, it’s up to Mario to put everything right. As this is Mario card Game, which means filling these empty gaps with confetti.
Near the beginning of the adventure, Mario receives a bag of confetti to help him in his quest, and from then on the simple press of a button will fill the air around him with dozens of small pieces of paper. Using this confetti to safely pass through the broken landscapes is a big part of the game – your progress in this regard is traced from each areaBut Mario’s happy expression as he heals the world makes work the joy and not the piece of the sea.
It gets even better once you learn this Mario card it does not penalize you for throwing confetti around you when you are damn well please. The resource is essentially limitless if you don’t go towards setting the scenario. The whole game is a great pick-me-up, but there’s something special about these small, insignificant celebrations.
I’m a fan of games that just left you do things, especially when dedicating an entire button to something silly. Sure, it feels great to rebuild in the Mushroom Kingdom Mario card, but the achievement of its closure is that it gives me a “make the screen pretty” button that I can spam every few seconds.
